How quickly will my transactions show?
How quickly will my transactions show
Short answer: most transactions land in SortMe within minutes of your bank releasing them. The rest comes down to your bank's timing, not ours.
The two types of transactions
Your bank sends data to SortMe in two states, and they move at different speeds.
Confirmed (settled) transactions come through automatically, usually within minutes of your bank releasing them. This isn't related to open banking specifically — SortMe's been pulling settled transactions this way for years.
Pending transactions, the ones your bank hasn't finalised yet, are refreshed twice a day: once around 5am and again around 5pm.
Why something from today might not show until tomorrow
The biggest factor here is your bank. A transaction only appears once your bank marks it as settled, and card payments in particular can sit pending for a day or so before that happens. Buy a coffee this morning and it might not land in SortMe until tomorrow. That's your bank's timing, not ours.
Still not showing up?
Occasionally a transaction is sitting with your bank but hasn't been pushed through to SortMe yet. If it's been more than a day and you still can't see it:
- Open the SortMe app and pull down on the Transactions screen to refresh.
- Still nothing? Get in touch at support@sortme.com and we'll check your connection and trigger a fresh sync. Most missing transactions come through within minutes once we do.
