How to invite your partner or spouse to your SortMe account

If you're using SortMe with a partner or for your household, only one of you needs to have a valid SortMe subscription (you don't need to pay twice).

One option is to simply share your SortMe login with your partner so they can also login to the same account and you can share SortMe that way.

Alternatively, if you'd like to each have your own login credentials to access SortMe follow these steps. Please note that currently, your invited partner will have full access to everything in your SortMe account.

  1. Get your partner to sign up for a free SortMe account (they should not start a trial nor pay for SortMe, they just need to complete the registration process).
  2. https://app.sortme.com/register
  3. Once they've registered, in your SortMe account, go to Settings and invite them using the "Add User" section:

Your partner should now receive an invitation email to join your SortMe account.

Once they accept this invite they should be able to toggle into your SortMe account using the top-right account selector like this:

How your partner can connect accounts to SortMe using Akahu

Once your partner has access to your SortMe account, they can connect their own bank accounts by:

  1. Ensure that they're currently toggled into your SortMe account.
  2. Go to the Settings page: app.sortme.com/settings.
  3. Clicking "Settings" in the "Bank Connections" section.

  4. Akahu will email you a 6 digit number that you'll need to give to your partner.

  5. Once they're in Akahu, they can click "Add another connection":

  6. Then they simply follow the prompts to connect their bank account.

NOTE: If you have any joint accounts together, only one of you should connect the joint accounts to Akahu. Otherwise you may end up with duplicate transactions in your SortMe account.
