Improved Mortgage Transaction Handling

At SortMe, we continuously strive to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of your financial management. We understand that managing mortgage transactions can be complex, and we are excited to announce an improvement in our handling of mortgage-related expenses.

How mortgage transactions are handled:

Let's assume Jane pays $2,000 every month from her transaction account to her mortgage account.

SortMe does the following for Jane's mortgage transactions:

1. The -$2,000   from her transaction account   (to her mortgage account   ) will get categorised as Rent, Mortgage Payment (permanent accom)   
2. The +$2,000   into her mortgage account   (from her transaction account   ) will remain as a Mortgage Transfer   effectively ignoring it from her Spend Overview and Budget tracking.
3. The -$1,000   interest charge from Jane's bank in her mortgage account   will be automatically ignored   by SortMe and labelled as Mortgage Interest  

The result is that Jane's Spend Overview for the month will look like this:

• Rent, Mortgage Payment (permanent accom)   : -$2,000   
• Interest   : $0
